The Burswood Foreshore

The Swan River from Crown Perth: Foreshore and Skyline Views

The Crown Perth complex sits along the eastern bank of the Swan River in Burswood, roughly three kilometres from the Perth central business district. Choosing a stay here means having immediate access to waterfront parklands, paved walking paths, and expansive views across the river toward the city skyline.

Walking and Cycling along Burswood Park

Directly in front of the resort complex lies Burswood Park, a public parkland managed by the Western Australian Government. Paved footpaths stretch along the riverbank, offering flat, open routes for morning walks and casual cycling before the midday sun arrives during hot, dry summers.

Heading north along the river path leads toward Matagarup Bridge and the surrounding parklands. To the south, footpaths wind along the shore with open lawn areas facing the water. The paths are widely used by local runners, walkers, and cyclists, offering an easy way to get outdoor exercise right outside the hotel doors.

Crossing the River and Nearby Bridges

Pedestrian access across the Swan River connects Burswood to surrounding districts and the Perth CBD. To the north, Matagarup Bridge links Burswood Park across the river, while stadium nights see many visitors using the bridge to cross to and from nearby fixtures. To the south, pedestrian routes across the Causeway connect Burswood to Victoria Park and the city's eastern edge.

If you are planning an evening outing, crossing the footbridge near dusk offers broad views across the wide river basin, with the setting sun reflecting off the water and the downtown towers across the river.

Skyline Views from the Resort

Because Burswood sits on a bend in the Swan River, looking west provides an unobstructed view of the Perth city skyline. Selecting west-facing options among the rooms—such as Premier Club View Suites at Crown Towers or Luxe View rooms at Crown Metropol—gives guests front-row seats to the city lights across the water after dark.

Ground-level public areas, including restaurants and outdoor spaces near the riverfront, also make the most of this orientation. It is a quiet contrast to staying in the central business district itself: you look back at the city lights across open water rather than standing between high-rises.

Combining River Walkways with Your Stay

A stay at Crown Perth lets you pair outdoor activity along the water with indoor comforts during the warmest hours. Early mornings are best spent outdoors along the foreshore before returning to the three hotels for breakfast, afternoons spent by the pools, or treatments at Crown Spa.

When evening arrives, the foreshore cools down, making it ideal for a walk before late dinners or a performance at Crown Theatre Perth. Transport options back to the grounds are straightforward, with dedicated taxi ranks along Victoria Park Drive and the complimentary resort shuttle connecting to Burswood train station during its scheduled hours.
